President's Focus on the Important Goals of 2003  (2004 coming soon)

The board has been focusing on how the CCAC can maintain the growth of Active and Junior members. We believe that by continuing to show our professionalism we will keep the good friends we have and earn the respect of many new ones.

Greetings, To all Culinarians,

It seems like only yesterday that we were swearing in our 2002 board of directors at the Breamar Country club. The year has passed so quickly and it seems that each event became more and more exciting and enjoyable as the year progressed. I am glad to say that as an association we are doing well.

The 2002 board brought to the table a fervor of enthusiasm about how we as a chapter can promote our organization to other chefs and to the interested public through purveyors and the media. We received booth space at the Goldberg and Solovy Show and Plan to take part in organizing Culinary Competitions for the 2003 California Restaurant Show. We also appeared in the “Society” section for “Day at the Races” at Hollywood Park, receiving calls for information and ticket sales. The board has also been focusing on how the CCAC can maintain the growth of Active and Junior members as membership cost rise. We believe that by continuing to show our professionalism within our community, foster culinary education at each of our meetings in 2003 and strive to reward and acknowledge all those who support our Chapter, we will keep the good friends we have and earn the respect of many new ones.

This Board will continue throughout 2003 and as talented as it seems will continue to get better seasoned as these individuals work together on the mission, goals and agendas of the future. We will continue to set the standards, which will benefit the member. We will focus on aiding those who need our support to succeed. And we will listen to the members who have opinions that need addressing in order to maintain the professional integrity of our Association. We all look forward to serving YOU in 2003.

I am always open for your input and I look forward to meeting each one of you and putting faces with the names on our roster. Please tell your colleagues, clients, customers, purveyors, friends and co-workers that you are proud to be a member of the CCAC/ACF.
